Our Village vendors more often reap the benefits of their participation when they first take some time to prepare. Follow these tips are you're sure to have a successful booth!
- Bring a buddy — you will need the help setting up and manning your station.
- Fill your table with your products and marketing material. People are more likely to stop at a table where there is plenty to look at!
- Use a dark colored tablecloth so your items contrast the surface and really pop.
- Have enough business cards or brochures available for every customer to take home.
- Feature give-aways and coupons to attract attention.
- Display a free raffle where customers can win a product by filling out a short form — you can use the information customers give you to follow up with them at a later date or to add them to your mailing list.
- Network with other vendors; they might be potential customers or business partners.
- Face your customers and be friendly. Don't have side conversations with colleagues or on your cell phone.
- Give yourself enough time to find the race, park, unload, set up and get situated.
