The Baltimore Women's Classic 5K is very much a family affair. A Kids Co-ed Fun Run for children 8 years and younger is held at the conclusion of the 5K. The emphasis is truly on FUN! You can register your kids when you register yourself. At the 2011 race, nearly 100 children participated in the Kids' Fun Run.

The participants in the kids' fun run are divided into separate heats on race day.

Children between the age of 5 and 8 run approximately 150 meters, with childred under 5 running approximately 75 meters (and YES! parents can accompany our younger runners.)

Both events are held at Rash Field on the opposite side of the track from where the 5K participants finish. Each fun run participant finishes by running through  an inflated finish line structure, where they receive a finisher's medal and kid's goody bag.

Please note that children participating in the fun run do not receive a race t-shirt.
